Internet Free Zone

Comcast sponsored this week's unintentional break from the Internet. I'm totally behind on reading blogs as a result. I'm typing this on my iPad so please ignore the weird formatting!

Here's a brief recap of my week in pictures.

Interstellar in VIP seats...they reclined! I liked the movie but figured out the plot twist pretty early on. It wasn't as mind-blowing as I was led to believe, but the plot and effects were fun. I really enjoyed it!

New to us outdoor furniture for our lanai!

6.5 miles with Kristin this week after battling a cold. Emergen-C is a savior!
Winter in Florida: shorts and compression sleeves + a long sleeved shirt. I was overheated by the end.

OMG.

I don't feel as confident as I did after the 20-miler, but I feel determined. This race will get done. I'm not even really nervous yet...just kind of in denial!

How has your week been?
How's the weather in your neck of the woods?
Am I the only one who always gets sick during taper?!

  2. I hate ALL internet service providers. I hope they are adjusting your bill! When I saw your lanai furniture, I thought, "ooh they won't be able to use that for awhile" and then I remembered you are in FLORIDA :)

    1. Internet providers are ALL leeches. I feel like I'm paying to get frustrated like 50x a year.

We've been enjoying every evening outside! Ah winter, how I love thee!

  4. Love the patio furniture - a couch is so swanky! I'm supposed to run 16 on Sunday - would you run 16 miles in the rain? I'm a little worried...

    1. I think 16 can be done in light drizzle, but it's a LONG way to go in heavy rain. How was it?

  5. I tend to get sick the week before a race. Maybe it's our bodies way of telling us we have to slow down to feel great on race day!?

    1. I think so...I always get sick right before, too. I blame it on taper and the decrease in adrenaline and cortisol!
