Fear and Caution

I haven't run since the lovely two miles I did Sunday. Monday my knees were really sensitive, and Tuesday they were worse. When I tried to balance on one or the other (like to put shoes on or something), the pain was really sharp.

So I haven't run. I foam rolled and that has helped, but I'm scared to test it. And now I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid or smart.

I'll be running again next week, fingers crossed, but I guess taking this one more week off isn't the worst thing.

In running news, then, all I've got for you is that I was able to have dinner with two of my Ragnar teammates on Wednesday, and it was amazing, like always. I'm always the one who plans the dinners for us, so I think I'm just going to set up one or two monthly so we can consistently see each other! Ragnar is such a strong bonding experience; I love these women!
We forced the valet to take pictures of us haha.
Also, as requested, here's a picture of my tattoo now that it's all healed up.
I'm not a huge fan of punctuation in tattoos, but I'm beginning to wonder if I can live without the period at the end.

What are your weekend plans?

I'm really hoping your pain disappears in your knees. :S Anytime my knees hurt, I immediately do what you are doing and get some rest. Take care :)

  4. I love the tattoo each time I see it! Praying that you heal quickly...but I know the paranoid feeling...I get it every time my ITB acts up.

    1. Sometimes I think the paranoia is worse than the fear!

  5. Lol a true English teacher! :) I like that it sticks out when you wear tanks, which I am sure you wear a lot when you run. I hope the next time you run your knees feel strong!

  7. Sorry about your knees :( If it keeps up, you might want to google patello femoral pain (runner's knee). Or you can email me - I still have PT exercises from my knee problems over the summer!
