A Day on Break

I've been really determined to live spring break to its fullest this year...and while that may no longer mean going to the beach everyday and enjoying strawberry daiquiris, it does mean waking up "early" and doing as much as possible.

Here's a look at my life today.
My alarm goes off and it's time to make sure my workout plans for the day are still on! "Early" is relative, but if I need an alarm to get out of bed, that counts as early to me.
My morning routine is intense!
The first person awake uncovers Archie's cage so he can wake up, stretch, and eat breakfast.
Speaking of, my pre-T25 breakfast can't be too heavy. Today I had grapefruit and one piece of bread with PB.
I didn't get any T25 pictures today, so here's one of my "lunch"...A regular and chocolate peanut butter and banana sandwich! So healthy.
After lunch, it was run time. My left calf has been really tender so I wore one compression sleeve today. It was HOT. I soaked my legs in the pool after.
Just two miles, but it was brutal today.
After my run, I showered, got my hair cut, and took a nap! Not pictured - I had leftover curry for dinner and Archie threw the rice around.
Then it was time to meet some of the GGM girls for wine and reunion. It was SO nice to see them again!
Tomorrow I'm actually going to work even though it's still break...I'll be helping a couple teachers at a sister school improve their teaching methods. Which means...BEDTIME!

What does you typical day look like when you're not at work?

  1. Love the hair! I can't believe how you say it's "Hot!" :D I'm still wearing my mittens on my runs! :0 My calf muscles have been tight lately too so I've been sporting the compression socks these days as well. Your food looks so yummy. I'm now craving PB!!!

    1. I'm honestly jealous of your springtime weather. I WISH it stayed cool in the mornings and evenings, even if it HAS to get hot in the daytime. Ugh. It's the worst to slog through 76 degrees & humid before the sun is even up!

  2. Your hair looks amazing! Your day looks pretty much the same as my day when I have a day off. Except you actually got into real people clothes. I don't tend to do that. It's bad.

  4. What moisturizer do you use on your face? Neutrogena recently stopped making my favorite :( In the past two weeks I've tried one from Olay which made me break out in hives all over my face (NOT fun) and one from Aveeno which is just okay.

Your hair cut looks great! They chopped mine too short this last time and I'm so ready for it to grow out a bit! Argh.

    1. I use Vanicream for my moisturizer, although lately I've gone back to pure coconut oil. My dermatologist suggested Vanicream because it's made to mix will with medications, etc, so there are NO irritating chemicals in it. It's very calming.

  5. LOVE your haircut! So amazing what a fresh trim can do. Also, I always smile when you write about archie.
My day off usually includes sleeping in and watching The Price is Right, not nearly as productive as yours!

I know it is hot there but I want some hot weather! I am so sick of the snow and cold!!!!! How about we trade? You send the hot, I'll send some cold - deal? :)

    1. I am definitely up for a trade. Especially as it was 88 here today...almost summer temps. I miss winter already!
