Checking In

Oops. It seems I've taken an unexpected break from the blog! It's funny how post-race adrenaline eventually leaves you totally wiped!

This past week I've been working, recovering, getting ready for our field trip to the Holocaust Museum, preparing for Ragnar, driving 12 hours this weekend for a good friend's bridal shower...
Running in the cold rain is my favorite!
Settling in for a 6 hour drive.
Shane and Mark enjoying their shower.
Our weather is back into the 80s this week and will stay there for Ragnar. Hope you all are staying warm!
So I've been a little swamped! Hopefully I'll be back in the groove soon, but if not, know that things are good, just busy! (I've taken a little break from ALL social media this week...it has felt pretty good!)

I haven't been keeping up on blogs very well this week! Tell me something you posted that I may have missed!

    1. I wouldn't mind if the cool weather migrated south for just one more weekend! I need to cool down before my race!

  3. Glad all is well! I was actually wondering where you went and hoped all was okay. :) You are seriously friend of the year for driving 6 hours for a bridal shower. I don't know if I would do that!

  4. I've missed you! When is Ragnar? I cannot wait to read about it. And what a great friend to drive 6 hours to go to a friend's bridal shower.

  5. Oh man, a six hour drive all alone stinks. The drive to my mom's house is about 4.5 hours and even that feels *too* long. I always have to take a break at a rest area for some DD coffee :) Hope you treated yourself to something during the drive too!

  7. I was going to email you/tweet you this week to see how you were! But sometimes you have to take a break and it is totally cool. I'm just happy to hear that you are doing well and everything is lovely! Sometimes we have to take that break from social media, I deleted my FB in December and have felt so free! :)
Miss you! "See" you soon :) :)

  8. RAGNAR!!! RAGNAR!!! OMG! I'm so crazy, insanely excited for you!! (obviously my PTSD from RAGNAR!! has subsided, and now I'm totally jealous and SO EXCITED FOR YOU!) Have a BLAST! Don't forget to eat! Eat a LOT! What are you legs? Which runner are you? Yay!!!!

    1. (It's not letting me edit that. "How many miles are each of your legs?" Is the question I was trying to ask. I'm sure your physical legs are just fine.) I also swear I'm not hyped up on coffee at 9pm.

    2. LOL You know Ragnar has melted my brain because "What are your legs" made PERFECT sense to me. I'm running 2.7, 7.8, then 2.0. I'm leg 6, so I'm the last in van 1, which I LOVE. I'm at a perfect transition point to relax and recoup. I haven't run since Friday so I hope I'm still in strong enough shape! lol

  9. I've been on a bit of a running hiatus as well, but I just posted a recap on my workouts from last week. I was sick a couple of weeks ago but recovered long enough to be productive...now I'm sick again, ugh! How are you enjoying your runs post-race?

    1. Ah, this time of year is the WORST for cyclical colds. They just keeping coming! I hope you feel better fast!

Post-run I've been feeling great, but really taking it easy. With another big race this weekend, I'm hoping my legs are in prime condition by Thursday!
