From Washington DC

Hello everyone!

I'm in DC chaperoning a fantastically busy, fun, and educational trip with my 8th grade students.

I won't be posting while I'm away, but if you want a peek into what we're doing, check my Instagram: www.instagram.com/abkearney

I am always amazed and motivated by the sheer number of runners in DC. I guess perfect weather + the clean, paved, continuous paths of the Mall make for a great city for runners!

Have a good week!

-Have you been to DC?
-What is your favorite site?
-What is your perfect running weather?

I'm so jealous you're near that area! Perfect running weather!

  2. Cool, you're two hours away from where I'm at. Have fun. I love DC. Looking to do the Cherry Blossom 10 miler next year.

  3. Have a grand time! Hope you're enjoying yourself - chaperoning a bunch of kids is exhausting, though fun.

Yes, I lived in DC for six months right after college and have visited other times. My favorite places: the Freer Art Gallery (Asian and a nice collection of American art) and the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (modern and contemporary). Plus Dupont Circle for wandering around in.

    1. I think it was more exhausting this year than last...maybe because I'm older?

I wish we'd gone to ANY of the art museums, but our schedule didn't allow it. Hopefully next year!
